Gala Durham is situated in a beautiful, purpose-built building on the banks of the River Wear in the heart of this historic city.
We are proud that Gala Durham is a place where we create our own productions, most recently the critically acclaimed Brassed Off, a new version of Alice in Wonderland and our annual pantomime. We also have a programme of visiting shows including theatre, comedy, dance and music from some of the leading companies in the UK.
With a strong network of connections with the regional creative community, we are a place where artists and creatives come together.
Through Gala Youth Theatre and our artist development schemes, we offer a wide range of opportunities for local people to develop skills, collaborate and create.
