Costume Supervisor – Rapunzel
Gala Durham is seeking a Costume Supervisor to work with us to deliver our pantomime, Rapunzel.
Written by Gary Kitching, this new version of the classic fairy tale will have a cast of 6 principle cast members plus a professional ensemble of 6.
This is an exciting opportunity to create fun, bold and original costumes for our main house family Christmas show.
Who Can Apply?
You will have experience of working on professional productions in a busy theatre wardrobe environment, and have experience of realising complex costume designs. You will work closely with the creative team, the company of actors and a wardrobe team to deliver costumes that bring this show to life.
You should have strong collaborative skills, experience of working with creative teams and within a busy producing environment.
You should have a strong track record of delivering projects to agreed timescales and parameters.
We would particularly like to hear from those who are based in the North East.
Key Info
Rehearsals will take place from 26 October 2026 with technical rehearsals from 11 November 2026.
The production will take place 19 November – 31 December 2026.
This role will be required on the first day of rehearsals and part time during rehearsals, at times to be arranged with the Producer. The role will be required full time during technical rehearsals until the opening.
There will also be additional costume making work in advance of rehearsals to be agreed with the Producer.
Fee £5,000.
