WOW – Women of the World is coming to the North East for the very first time this October!
Taking place in partnership with S&DR200, WOW will be packing Gala Durham full of unmissable talks, performances and workshops for everyone to celebrate the incredible women, girls and non-binary people of the North East.
Expect a day packed with energy, ideas and inspiration as WOW North East takes over the whole Gala Durham with powerful conversations, joyful workshops, and unforgettable performances. From the opening session celebrating local pride and progress, to panels exploring equity, climate, protest and community, you’ll hear from changemakers, artists, and everyday voices shaping our future. Get creative with floral painting, move your body in Bollywood and dance classes, hula hoop to your heart’s content, or belt out a tune in a mass sing-along. With theatre, big ideas, a game show and space for honest conversations, there’s something here for everyone.
