Friends and two women rooted in the North East: award-winning broadcaster Steph McGovern and Sunday Times Bestselling author Ann Cleeves, join us to discuss their new crime novels. Steph’s debut Deadline is inspired by her on-screen career, while Ann Cleeves’ The Killing Stones, gives fans a much-anticipated return to the story of Jimmy Perez, who has left Shetland for Orkney.
Steph McGovern has over twenty years of experience presenting BBC Breakfast, hosting The Rest is Money podcast and is a regular on Have I Got News for You.
Ann Cleeves is the author of 37 novels and adapted into internationally popular TV shows such as ITV’s Vera and The Long Call, and BBC One’s Shetland. In 2017, she was awarded the highest accolade in crime writing, the Crime Writers’ Association Diamond Dagger.
