Relaxed Screening: Toy Story 5

13th June 2026 By

Jessie, Bullseye and other toys watch on in a still from Toy Story 5.

Providing a relaxed and inclusive cinema experience for disabled and neurodivergent audiences, our relaxed screenings at Gala Durham return with Toy Story 5 (PG).

During our relaxed screenings:

  • Our lights will stay on at a low level and the volume will be lowered

  • You can move around our cinema and make some noise if you need to

  • A chill out space will be available should you need to take a break

  • The film will have English Language descriptive subtitles if they are available for the film (please check with our Box Office on 03000 266 600 in advance of booking)

  • No adverts or trailers, but a two minute film about how relaxed screenings work will be screened just before the film

  • Doors to open at around 30 minutes before the screening and you are free to come in to get settled from this time.

Our relaxed screening is also open to anyone who is accepting of audiences with a range of access requirements.

The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the rest of the gang's jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad, a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie.

Will playtime ever be the same?

As part of our work to make Gala Durham as accessible as possible for all, audio description headsets will be offered on every film screening for those who are visually impaired.
