This special 20th anniversary screening of Graham Fellows’ much-loved comedy documentary will be followed by a Q&A with Graham Fellows, discussing his on and off screen relationship with Martin Parr.
RBM presents a special 20th anniversary celebration of Graham Fellows’ much-loved comedy documentary, It’s Nice Up North. This special event is also presented as a tribute to the late Martin Parr, the celebrated photographer who served as cinematographer on It’s Nice Up North, and whose distinctive eye is central to the film’s charm and enduring appeal.
It’s Nice Up North follows Fellows’ alter ego – the iconic comic character John Shuttleworth – on a gently absurd journey through the Shetland Islands to test the theory that the further north you go, the nicer people become.
