Disaffected millennial angst, ropey rentals, and complicated relationships link Gráinne O’Hare, Vincenzo Latronico and Niamh Ní Mhaoileoin’s bitingly witty novels, which are three of the most exciting and timely fiction releases of 2025.
Gráinne O’Hare is a writer from Belfast based in Newcastle upon Tyne. She received a Northern Debut Award for Fiction from New Writing North in 2022 and is currently completing a PhD at Newcastle University. Thirst Trap is her first novel.
Vincenzo Latronico (joining online) is an Italian translator and author. Perfection is his fourth novel and first to be translated into English and was shortlisted for the International Booker Prize 2025.
Niamh Ní Mhaoileoin is an Irish writer living in Edinburgh. Her debut novel Ordinary Saints was shortlisted for the Waterstones’ Debut Fiction Prize 2025.
