Orchestra North East is very pleased to be able once more to present a Sunday afternoon concert in Durham.
We are also very happy to welcome back two friends, Bradley Creswick, who will be our soloist in Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, and Thomas Blunt, who last conducted us in 2014. An appealing but rarely performed work by Hubert Parry, his Symphonic Variations, opens the concert, in possibly a North East première, and Sibelius’ beautiful and magisterial Second Symphony will complete our programme.
A programme for everyone, we trust, and we look forward to playing for our Gala Durham audience once more.
